This workshop is designed to get you started in Android applications development. You'll learn to:
1) Identify the major elements of an Android application. Such as layouts, manifest, application classes … etc.
2) Apply knowledge of control mechanisms (i.e. Intent, Event Handling … etc) and trace through the execution flow of basic Android applications.
3) Understand the workflow of building Android applications with the Google Android SDK and Eclipse
4) Understand the workflow of debugging Android applications with the Google Android SDK and Eclipse

Prerequisite
Participants need to have basic programming knowledge. A basic understanding of object oriented programming, and experience with a Java like syntax language is recommended.
What to bring
Your laptop. Follow the steps outlined here to install Eclipse, ADT and the SDK.
We'll be using SDK version 3.2 in this workshop. Please make sure you include this SDK version in your selection when you setup your machine.
Hi all, I was wondering if I can get help, remote or in person, to setup google voice on my cell phone and use it in Canada as well as in US, I did a lookup and there are quite a few people who are using it in Canada.
