    Code Jam Session

A few of you have expressed interest in some hands on/getting started practice with Android programming last week. I'm thinking about doing a code jam session outside of the regular monthly meetup. My initial idea is to get together ... Read more a small group (less than 10) of people, each bring a laptop, build some simple applications together as a practice, ask questions and discuss. This is sort of like an Android study group, open forum kind of deal.

I haven't thought too much as to what we should build in the code jam yet. I'm thinking about using some tutorial examples as a start, or we can install the Android SDK. I don't know yet, and I'm looking for your suggestions.

Once we have enough ideas, we'll put together a small agenda for the code jam session, then we'll decide where to do the code jam session.

So ... let's start some brainstorming here ...

    Real world app

Is anybody interested in learning with a real world app? I'm a product manager looking at launching an Android app.

Why do not we do single task!!!!

Any one who knows better android programming post one simple task for the next meeting.
We can more focus on our learning (Programming and Idea).
For example, at the end of our meeting, Simon was about to hand it over a piece of paper to ... Read more pick "prize winner". We all did not like that way.
So, why do not we program "choose prize winner program"?? We will learn a lot.
Or, what if this is easy for some people, try to code right away in front of us. It does not matter whether u have a bunch of errors.
We all know the way of learing programming!!!!
