I realize the "vote for an idea" section of the site does not allow discussions, so I've created this thread to get some brainstorming going for the code jam session.
To kick off the discussion, I'm posting Omair's idea here: "Hi, this is a great idea..count me in. The instructions from google on installing the SDK are pretty clear so we shouldn't spend time as a group doing that. Maybe we should start with the "notepad" tutorial and that should go pretty quickly, and then we can add extra features to it as a group. What do you think?" I like Omair's idea. Feel free to express your opinion and ideas here. Cheers! Simon |

I was surprised to discover that my Nexus One didn't come with a Notepad application. So I am interested in making one. In fact, I thought it would be neat to make a notepad application that stores its notes on a server, like Google App Engine, so that it can also synchronize with other mobile platforms like iPhone and BlackBerry. This might be useful for someone who switches phones.

I second that Notepad Tutorial idea, seems like a great way to dive in.
